In Franois, at the heart of Besançon's micromechanical and microtechnical industrial area, UND has been developing industrial expertise in precision screw machining for 50 years, and more recently in top-of-the-range polishing. Founded in 1974 by Claude and Camille Gillet, Usine Nouvelle de Décolletage (UND) has never stopped investing in cutting-edge technical skills and high-performance machinery to position itself in specific markets where customer requirements lead to the production of complex parts.

UND obtains ISO 9001 certification

2004 à 2009

UND obtained ISO 14001 certification (environment), followed by OHSAS 18001 certification (safety) in 2007, and finally ISO 13485 certification (medical) in 2009.

2016

UND obtains EN 9100 certification (aerospace and defence)

2018

UND opens a 7th site in Franois dedicated exclusively to high-end polishing.

A production force spread over 7 sites

UND has spread its production facilities over 7 sites, including 6 in Franois and one in Grandfontaine. 4 sites are dedicated to precision turning, while one is reserved for top-of-the-range polishing, sandblasting. The other sites are used for storage, the cam set manufacturing workshop, the machining rework workshop and the cylindrical grinding workshop.
